We are an enthusiastic and very friendly club ,who caters from the young (16) and old ,male and female.We pride ourselves on our encouragement and commaraderie within the club. Wednesday evening is our social run of the week ,where new runners should meet members to fit in with the appropriate pace group. We do ask though that people should be able to run for at least half an hour. The club holds six regular sessions a week, which include repetitions , hillwork , threshold and long runs .As well as social runs , the club enters a road race league (10 races) ,Summer and Winter xc leagues ,relays , off -road challenges,track and field plus veteran leagues .We always have a large contingent in the London Marathon and have organised sessions throughout the week to suit everyone .The club organises many social events ,including a pub meal after the run on a Wednesday .In this past year we have had a weekend trip to St.Malo ,France .,a weekend trip to Wales for Welsh relays, A Barn dance, Xmas social, and in addition organised groups to training camps . The club has over 430 members and is still growing.

Where can I find you?
The club meets at various locations for each of its sessions. Wednesday night is our introductory night and we meet at the River Park Leisure Centre ,Winchester at 7.OO pm . On the Gallery level .Just head towards the noise of runners talking.
What training do you do?
On a Tuesday ,we do repetition training or hillwork .We break into various groups depending on ability of runners and time of year. Wednesday is our social run .Thursday -Threshold work ...Saturday longer slower runs or hillwork at country park.
Sunday -longer runs .In addition runners meet up for steady runs to suit there own circumstances.
Can I turn up or do I have to join first?
We encourage runners to come along for a couple of sessions , ideally to Wednesday night , but arrangements can be made to be greeted at other sessions also. If they feel the club can offer them what they need ,they will be given a membership form ,which can also be downloaded from the club website.
I am only looking to train for the Virgin London Marathon, how will I find others to train with?
All of the sessions are appropriate for training for the London Marathon , as they are geared towards the big day .The sessions can cope with runners of all abilities.
