Your questions answered!

Where can I find you?

Notts AC has it’s own club-house based at the Harvey Hadden sports centre track, which is off Wigman Road, Bilborough, about 2 miles from Nottingham city centre and 1 mile off the ring road.

We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 18.15 from the club-house and pre-arranged locations on a Sunday for the weekly long run.

E-mail us or give us a call or visit our website for further information.

What training do you do?

On Tuesdays there are various options ranging from 4 to 10 miles.

Thursdays as well as the road there is an option for track training, which can help to build stamina for long distance runners..

Sunday’s long runs are about 12 mile building up to 20+ as we get nearer to the Virgin London marathon.

We can advise on training and which local races will provide the right build up and test your progress.

Can I turn up or do I have to join first?

You are free to come and visit us, see if you like what you see and join us when you are ready. You will need to join before you can run in certain races such as the Notts AAAs summer league.

I am only looking to train for the Virgin London Marathon, how will I find others to train with?

We have a number of runners who have automatic entry, having achieved the qualifying standard for their age, and we also have an enthusiastic number of varying abilities “ raring to go “. We are a friendly club and are keen to see new and experience runners achieve their goals.
