London Heathside is one of North London’s friendliest and largest running (and athletics) clubs, with members of all standards from fitness runners to championship athletes. We usually have one of the biggest marathon training groups in the area with 30 or more Heathsiders running the London Marathon each year. This means that the club and its members has a wealth of marathon experience on which you can draw.

Where can I find you?
Our three major training venues are (though we train elsewhere too):
1) Tues & Thurs 7:30pm, Harringay Club, Tottenham Lane, N8 7EE
2) Tues 7:00pm (more experienced runners), Finsbury Park track, N4 1EE
3) Weds 7:00pm, Freemasons Arms, Downshire Hill, NW3 1NT
What training do you do?
Our main midweek training sessions will involve either interval training (important for achieving a pleasing time) or mid-length continuous runs. Club members also go for longer weekend runs as a group both as formal club runs and on an informal basis.
Can I turn up or do I have to join first?
Anyone is welcome to come and try us out without joining first. If you do come regularly, you will be asked to join!
I am only looking to train for the Virgin London Marathon, how will I find others to train with?
Last year 36 runners trained for and ran the London Marathon with us. This includes runners from all of our major training venues. You’ll have no trouble finding other people to train with!
