Eye Community Runners were formed in 1986. We are a small club of about 70 members with a mixture of running abilities and ages between 16 and 75 years of age. We welcome new members of all abilities, and whilst the intention is for all to achieve their maximum potential, our main objective is that all should primarily enjoy themselves in a friendly unpressurised atmosphere. Our Club night is on Thursday evenings at 7.00pm at the Lindisfarne Road Recreation Ground, which has an excellent new pavilion providing changing facilities and the opportunity for a hot drink and natter after the run. In addition some members run from Thorpe Wood Police Station at 7.00pm on Tuesday evenings, having the use of changing facilities at that location. We compete during the winter in the Frostbite Friendly League (6 x 5 mile events) and support the Shouldham Warren cross country series. We also have a good social side considering a recreational side as important as the running!
