Your questions answered!
Where can I find you?
Wanstead Leisure Centre, Redbridge Lane West, Wanstead, London E11 2JZ
What training do you do?
We train both on and off road and on the track. A typical week would be training runs of circa 10k on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings with Wednesday being our main Club night with an average of 50-70 runners. Friday night is track night and Sundays we typically run 10 miles off road in either Epping Forest or Hainault Forest. In addition and in preparation for the London Marathon there are marathon training runs on Saturday and Sunday mornings mainly on the roads or the London canal towpaths during the months January to April.
Can I turn up or do I have to join first?
Yes, you can just turn up and try us out for up to three runs to ensure that we are suitable for your running needs.
I am only looking to train for the Virgin London Marathon, how will I find others to train with?
We have many members who compete annually in the London Marathon, e.g we had 39 start and complete the Virgin London Marathon in 2011. There are therefore opportunities to team up with runners of similar ability to do carry out your marathon training.
