We are a small running club based in Windsor (home of the Castle), close to London. We are primarily a road-running club, but venture onto the country in the winter. Members race over most distances, from 5km all the way up to ultra-distance races such as the Comrades Marathon. Runners of all ages, abilities and ambitions are welcome to join us.
Your questions answered!
Where can I find you?
The Dasher's clubhouse is in Home Park, Windsor. If you know the area, it's the large park next to Windsor and Eton Riverside Station; we're situated at the start of the tennis courts. The postcode is SL4 6HX.
What training do you do?
We meet at 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our clubhouse in Home Park, Windsor. On Tuesdays we normally do some speed work or threshold running, while on Thursdays we run between 4 and 10 miles, depending on the season.
Can I turn up or do I have to join first?
New runners are welcome to run with us for a few weeks before joining. Just turn up at the club house on a Tuesday or Thursday evening.
I am only looking to train for the Virgin London Marathon, how will I find others to train with?
We put a notice up in the clubhouse with a list of London Marathon runners so it is easy to know who’s training for the marathon. We organise a training schedules and Sunday runs for the London Marathon runners.
